No child grows up believing they are destined for mediocrity, they always have grand visions, they are only trained to believe otherwise -- we should strive to live up to our potential and improve ourselves everyday
Everyone is human, no one is flawless, celebrities poop and fart, famous leaders forget their keys, sports stars can lose their temper -- never put anyone on a pedestal, everyone has a journey and has to grow, never despise the day of small beginnings
Encountering selfishness often breeds selfishness, kindness and generosity inspires kindness and generosity. Everyone wishes they had a good friend, everyone wishes they had a wise mentor, everyone wishes they had someone that unconditionally cared, accepted, and supported them -- if you want the world to be a better place, be the change you want to see, be the kind of person you are looking for
You can often learn from unexpected circumstances and from the most unlikely people. Failures can be the greatest teacher, lessons can be learned from strangers, from children, and even those that disagree with you -- be curious, be humble, you'll enrich your life a hundred fold this way
We tend to judge others by their actions, but expect the world to see us for our intentions -- don't assume, seek first to understand, then to be understood
Some people never learn, most people learn from their mistakes, but the wise learn from everyone else's mistakes -- Listen. Read. Watch. Stand on the shoulders of giants and by taking advantage of the wisdom and hindsight of the older and the wiser who have shared their stories
Life is fleeting, life is fragile, my best friend died of heart failure during wrestling warm ups when we were 14... no one saw it coming -- spend more time living with purpose and intentionality than without
